When facing a psychiatric crisis, waiting days to see a doctor is not an option. Furthermore, Baker Act commitments, though sometimes necessary, can lead to days of waiting in a facility to be officially evaluated and given proper medication. In many cases, Behavioral Health Urgent Care can help patients avoid either uncomfortable reality. Behavioral Health Urgent Care in Celebration, Florida is the Orlando area’s first solely psychiatric urgent care. Lawrence B. Erlich, M.D. and his of counselors and therapists offer urgent care service for individuals in crisis. Through the crisis intervention center, they offer addictions evaluations, mental status examinations, evaluations for drug seeking behavior and immediate psychiatric evaluation. If you or a loved one require immediate psychiatric care, please contact us for further information. While we offer care in a timely fashion, we are not a walk-in clinic. Call our office at 407-852-8882, and, pending satisfaction of certain criterion, patients are provided with an immediate reservation time to come in and complete paperwork. Once paperwork is completed, patients will be given the next available time with the doctor. Rather than waiting six weeks to see a psychiatrist, we aim to have patients evaluated and on track to feeling better within hours. Behavioral Health Urgent Care is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you have an emergency outside of those hours, please call 911. Otherwise, please leave a message and our staff will return your care first thing the next morning. Please note that no medications are kept on premises and we do not prescribe controlled substances. For care, please call us at 407-852-8882. |
